New Car Park at Queen Elizabeth, Woolwich
16-May-2012
South London Healthcare NHS Trust is opening its new car park at the QE site on Monday 21st May at 10.00am. The car park was built by J McArdle Limited and has an extra 199 spaces for the public on the site.
Jonathan Pearce, Director of Estates and Facilities says: "We are delighted that the car park has been built within time and budget and to such a high standard. Parking at the QE site is always challenging and these 199 extra spaces should make a real difference to patients and their relatives, particularly during the busy Olympic period."
Access to the hospital will be more difficult during the Olympics, so we do suggest patients leave more time for travelling to the site particularly between the hours of 7am and 10pm.
The Trust will carry on with all its usual activity and healthcare for our local population will be unaffected during this period.
As with any high profile event there will be an increase in security around the Olympic venues. The Trust will ensure that it continues to provide a safe and secure environment for its staff, patients and visitors.
